  • Overview

    We offer an excellent opportunity for a IPS Whites Production Technician II to accurately execute porcelain production orders to meet specifications and facilitate the next phase of manufacturing.

    • Execute all policies, procedures and work instructions associated with this position to fulfill Ivoclar Vivadent Manufacturing, Inc.’ Quality System.
    • Train new employees and cross train other employees as needed.
    • Keep accurate records of all production work performed.
    • Maintain a clean work environment for the purpose of eliminating contamination.
    • Provide input to IPS Whites Shift Lead on making technical decisions and coordinating schedule.
    • Well versed in SAP business software.
    • Train on all required and applicable company procedures.
    • Weigh porcelain powders as specified per bill of materials on production orders.
    • Blend, mix, mill, screen and heat treat powders as necessary per processing specifications to meet desired properties.
    • Accurately complete production orders and supplementary documentation to allow for accurate time confirmations.
    • Accurately label and store materials as required.
    • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.


    • Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.
    • 1-3 years’relevant work experience. Experience working in a powder production environment preferred.
    • Ability to read, write and speak English.
    • Computer literate in Microsoft Office; specifically, Word and Outlook experience helpful.
    • Must be able to read and perform basic math calculations easily.
    • Strong general mechanical aptitude.
    • Quality conscious and excellent organization skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic business environment.
    • Ability to work independently with some detailed instruction.

    Physical Demands

    Ability to lift 25 to 30 pounds comfortably. Position could involve sitting, standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day.


    Equipment & Machinery Used

    Blenders, screeners, mills, mixers, digital balances, furnaces, dryers, drum handling equipment, PC, desktop computer.
