    We offer an excellent opportunity for a Mandrel Technician I to produce dental ceramic material manually and with mechanical production equipment. This is a part-time, temporary assignment lasting 3-6 months. Qualified candidates must be available to work both Saturdays and Sundays (total of 16 hours per week). Positions are available on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.



    • To prepare ceramics products for Automat Gluing Machines and/or Hand Gluing Machines.
    • Glue ceramic products to metal mandrels by means of gluing machines or manual methods.
    • Print product information on ceramic material.
    • Print product information on packaging material.
    • Perform in-process quality checks on products being produced.
    • Replenish components from storage areas.
    • Successfully and comprehensively train on all required and applicable company procedures.
    • Inspect small ceramic parts for blemishes and defects.
    • Coordinate with peers and supervisors regarding production scheduling, workplace improvements, troubleshooting, etc.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
    • Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
    • Fill in production documents for material produced in real time.
    • Track production on shift reports.
    • Willingness to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to day to day tasks.
    • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.


    • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
    • At least 1-year experience as a Technician, Machine Operator or related position required.
    • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
    • Computer literate in Microsoft Office.
    • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. 
    • Strong general mechanical aptitude.
    • Ability to utilize basic math skills to understand production needs and requirements.
    • Quality conscious and excellent organization skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic business environment.

    Physical Demands

    Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds. Ability to work with material and equipment cleaning products. Ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours per day, view computer monitor and move about effectively to fulfill the essential functions of the job. Dexterity and ability to engage in fine manipulation.


    Equipment & Machinery Used

    Automatic gluing machines, hand gluing machines, printing machines, labeling machines, banding machines, low temperature ovens, centrifuges, dosimeters, mixing plates, and balances.
