    We offer an excellent opportunity for a HSE Technician to support and perform activities to monitor and maintain a state of compliance with HSE policies and procedures.

    • Perform daily duties as assigned for housekeeping, waste disposal, uniform program, contractor safety orientation and general daily activities as assigned to support the health, safety and environmental department objectives.
    • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly safety audits/inspections on all related equipment and production areas. Assist with all OSHA, Fire, Life Safety and Environmental audits/inspections as per guidelines and procedures.
    • Support HSE Manager as needed to carry out provisions in IVMI’s written safety and environmental program. Support the maintenance of the chemical inventory list as assigned.
    • Serve as a technical resource to supervisors concerning safety and environmental related activities as assigned.
    • Monitor and maintain safety and environmental equipment supply and availability.
    • Assist HSE Manager in conducting routine safety training for IVMI employees and outside contractors. Monitor and provide training to contracted cleaning staff to comply with all HSE regulations.
    • Schedule companywide required trainings as assigned.
    • Schedule and participate in HSE meetings as assigned.
    • Understand and provide for the proper disposal of hazardous materials within the facility and the removal of waste from the facility. Contact the certified hazardous waste disposal and transport company as needed.
    • Schedule and monitor the routine weekly maintenance of company issued garments in compliance with the hygiene program.
    • Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of both facilities for cleanliness to be proactive with our hygiene policy and determine the need for additional services required. Maintain all cleaning schedules and communicate issues to cleaning staff to ensure adequate state of compliance and coverage.
    • Operate floor-cleaning equipment as needed to support IVMI hygiene policy.
    • Maintain general consumables for daily operations, such as cleaning supply inventory and tools required to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all employees.
    • Understand and maintain trained status for the safe operation of company vehicles and equipment including but not limited to fork trucks, pallet jacks, scissor lifts etc.
    • Install and maintain safety, ergonomic or environmental related fixtures throughout the facility as assigned.
    • Assist the facilities department with minor painting and related duties to maintain a proper appearance to support IVMIs hygiene policy.
    • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.


    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum 2 years working for an ISO certified or equivalent company with an understanding of regulations and compliance.
    • Basic knowledge of OSHA 1910 desirable.
    • Safety and environmental experience desired, specifically fire and life safety.
    • Ability to prioritize and meet assignment deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
    • Ability to work with employees from all levels of the company.
    • Computer literate in Microsoft Office, specifically Word & Excel.


    Physical Demands

    Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time. Occasional heavy lifting up to 60lbs. Ability to work at heights above 6 feet. Ability to work outdoors during all seasons, including on roof surfaces.


    Equipment & Machinery Used

    Hand and power tools, powered industrial vehicle, and inspection devices. Desktop or lap top computer.
