    We offer an excellent opportunity for a Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Coordinator who works with the HSE Manager to carry out the day to day operations of HSE department and contribute to the application of an effective health, safety and environmental management program by analyzing processes and providing technical support. Assists in maintaining a safe work environment by ensuring HSE compliance.

    • Assist in compliance reviews, HSE risk assessments, ergonomic assessments and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental management.
    • Identify workplace hazards through risk assessments and industrial hygiene sampling and implement or recommend controls to protect associates from injury/illness.
    • Assess HSE system for continual improvement and compliance with ISO regulations and legal requirements.
    • Assist in the analysis of applicable laws and regulations.
    • Maintain, review, revise and originate HSE SOPs as required.
    • Maintain relevant HSE logs and documentation.
    • Prepare applicable HSE reports as necessary.
    • Participate in safety team meetings and HSE inspections.
    • Provide assistance and advice on HSE issues and communicate recommendations to management.
    • Participate in detailed incident investigations and root cause analysis of safety and environmental issues.
    • Promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors.
    • Assist in the development and presentation of relevant HSE training.
    • Encourage safe working practices, correct obvious hazards immediately or report them to the proper personnel.
    • Maintain positive and proactive relations with managers and employees.
    • Participates in internal audits of the HSE systems
    • Perform other work related tasks as assigned


    • Minimum requirements BS or BA in Engineering, Safety or Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, or related science.
    • Knowledge in engineering, science principles and regulations.
    • Prefer at least one year experience in safety/facilities or related field in a manufacturing environment. Recent graduates considered.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems in a timely manner.
    • Ability to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.
    • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and manage time.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
    • Ability to work with employees from all levels of the company.
    • Must have strong computer skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Work, and PowerPoint.

    Physical Demands

    Ability to walk or stand for extended periods. Some occasional heavy lifting involved. Frequently communicates with employees and outside vendors. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.  


    Equipment & Machinery Used

    Desktop or lap top computer. Related inspection devices and powered industrial vehicle.
