Overview

We offer an excellent opportunity for a technical professional to provide technical support for Ivoclar Vivadent Inc.'s customers. This position will Support the dental Laboratory customer with installation, calibration, maintenance and repair, of CAD/CAM equipment and/or software remotely or onsite.  This position is located within our Customer Service Department at our North American Headquarters in Amherst, New York. Responsibilities

  • Provide installation, calibration, maintenance and repair of CAD/CAM equipment and software remotely and onsite at customer’s location.
  • Provide technical advice and support to internal departments (Sales, Customer Service, and Education department).
  • Conduct either remote (phone, net viewer) or on-site troubleshooting and diagnostic support to customers.
  • Oversee and maintain parts inventory in order to meet service and repair schedule/demand.
  • Maintain expert level proficiency in CAD, CAM, design and milling
  • Maintain excellent and accurate communications with the appropriate staff.
  • Maintain quality logs and records as required by the Quality Management System.

Qualifications

 

  • Electrical / Electronic and mechanical related work experience preferred
  • Good interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a small team environment.
  • Strong IT background with CAD/CAM experience required (ITT training/education)
  • Excellent IT/PC skills, and have the ability to communicate advanced topics to users with very different backgrounds.
  • A strong understanding and competency with Windows and equipment operating software, maintaining and diagnosing electronic components, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, precision mechanical parts etc.
  • Must be detail oriented and have excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with a certain degree of creativity and latitude.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills.  Ability to identify common hardware, software and design errors relevant to equipment
  • A strong understanding and competency with Windows and equipment operating software, maintaining and diagnosing electronic components, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, precision mechanical parts etc.
  • Degree or certification in related field
  • Ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours per day, view computer monitor, and move about effectively to fulfill the essential functions of the job.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
