Overview

We offer an excellent opportunity for an individual with warehouse experience.  The main purpose of the Driver/Warehouse Representative position is to safely and efficiently transport materials and products to their designated destinations by use of company vehicle or within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all policies, procedures and work instructions associated with this position to fulfill Ivoclar Vivadent, Inc.’s Quality System.
  • Perform daily driving and safety inspection of company vehicle. Refuel truck and van and maintain cleanliness.
  • Provide runs to Materion, Post office, Bank, External Warehouses, Mississauga, Fort Erie and various vendors.
  • This position is required to operate a company vehicle.
  • Process incoming shipments and packages physically and in SAP.

 

Qualifications

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Must have basic computer knowledge, Microsoft Office skills a plus.

  • Must satisfy all driving requirements according to the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), to include among other things, taking and passing a DOT Physical.

  • Must be able to complete a DOT Supplemental Driver Application.

  • Eligibility to operate a company vehicle under existing insurance guidelines is required.

  • Proven ability to learn new tasks quickly and have an attention to detail.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability and dexterity to work in a fast-paced standing/moving position for long periods of time required.

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time while driving to remote company locations required.

  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, e.g. pallet jack, and move about effectively to perform the essential functions of the position.

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
